‘Freaky Ali’, the Amy Jackson and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer is all set to hit the screens on 9th of September 2016. Well, the actors are on a promotion spree and yesterday, they were live on RVCJ too, hope you enjoyed it.
However, Amy Jackson has preferred not promoting her movie on Krushna Abhishek’s show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’. Do you know the reason why she skipped? It was because of Krushna Abhishek, the host.
Reports say that Amy doesn’t like the humor quotient and roast format of the show, and hence, she preferred staying away. Since Amy’s Hindi isn’t fluent enough, she didn’t want to become the target of jokes there.
On the other hand, Sohail Khan, Jas Arora and Nawazuddin Siddiqui had a good time, promoting their flick on ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’.
The news of Amy not coming on the show was confirmed by Sohail as he said
“Wonderful girl that Amy is, she does have a problem with the kind of humour Krushna Abhishek subjects his guests to, on Comedy Night Bachao. Also, her Hindi is not up to the mark,”
Usually, for all films, promotions are of utmost importance and lead actors don’t prefer missing them, however, Amy had a valid reason for the same.
Earlier too celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar opted out of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ owing to its roast format.
When reporters asked Sohail as to why he went there for promotions, he said
“Actually, I was the first to agree to be the guest on the show. My association with Krushna goes back several years. I couldn’t say no to him. Once I agreed to be on the show, the floodgates were opened”.
