The rival of Kapil’s show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ on Colors TV has always been surrounded with loads of controversies; thanks to the comments that the hosts Bharti and Krushna pass on celebrity guests. If jokes are funny they can be easily digested, but if jokes take a dig at their careers and personal lives, then it is definitely going to irritate the celebrities.
The roast format of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ has been criticized by many actors including Akshay Kumar. Many of them don’t prefer going to this show for promoting their upcoming flicks.
For example, take the ‘Housefull 3’ team which faced embarrassment when unwanted comments were passed on Lisa Haydon. Even Akshay Kumar condemned Lisa Haydon being called ‘Black African’ and also her comparison with a Kangaroo.
Now, Akshay has chosen Kapil’s show over Krushna’s for the promotion of ‘Rustom’, his upcoming movie. Another actress to join the club is Jacqueline Fernandez who refused to promote her movie ‘Dishoom’. Sajid Nadiadwala himself stopped Lisa and Jacqueline to go to the show owing to the embarrassment they had faced during ‘Housefull 3’ promotions.
To add more, even Hrithik Roshan doesn’t want to go the show for promoting his flick ‘Mohenjo Daro’. He was supposed to appear on ‘Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa’ for promoting the movie, but when Colors told him that he would have to appear on both the shows, he withdrew.
Its high time the show must know its’ limits and stick to light hearted comedy, otherwise it would keep losing precious guests. This is definitely proving to be a benefit for ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
