There has been a lot of politics going on over the suicide of ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal, as it is being said that he committed suicide because he was not happy with the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme of Modi govt.
Delhi’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his govt. has declared Ram Kishan as a martyr and announced a compensation of Rs. 1 crore to his family. This decision has been welcomed by almost all the corners; however, there are some who are arguing if Delhi govt. is giving compensation to Ram Kishan, why they are not giving compensation to other martyrs who are getting killed on the line of duty.
In an interview with India Today, Arvind Kejriwal was asked this question by the journalist to which he replied that the responsibility of paying compensation to other martyrs’ families lies with PM Narendra Modi and his govt., not with the Delhi govt. He once again asked for resignation of PM Modi which seems to be off-track!
