What if someone offered you a package of 20 crores and above? Wouldn’t you jump with joy? We all dream to earn a lot, but it’s not possible for each and everyone of us. Earning such high salary packages depends not only on luck, but also on the kind of efforts you have put in for the company. Different countries have different rules when it comes to executive pay. Sometimes, the payment structure is so complicated that it becomes difficult to calculate how much CEOs of big companies earn.
Some of them are so rich that their earnings will probably make you jealous; PTI has revealed the salary packages of Indian CEOs in FY 2016-2017 and you’ll wish you were there at their position.
Their annual pay is way too much than you must have ever thought. One of them is so lucky that he earns a salary of close to 60 crores Per Annum. Check out the whole list.
1) N Chandrasekaran: CEO of Tata Consultancy Services
He is also the Chairman of TCS, but as the CEO, he took away a package of close to Rs 30 crores. Rs 2.44 crore was his basic salary, Rs 25 crores was his commission and Rs 2.7 crores was his allowance.
2) Sunil Bharti Mittal: CEO and MD of Bharti Mittal
Wow, lucky him! He took an annual package of 30.1 crores.
3) Shikha Sharma: CEO of Axis Bank
It’s great to see a woman in the list too. Her basic annual pay was Rs 2.7 crores, variable pay was Rs 1.35 crores and on top of that, she got an additional incentive of Rs 90 lakhs. This means a total of Rs 5 crores.
4) Vishal Sikka: CEO of Infosys
Whoaa! His annual salary was Rs 43 crores in FY 2016-2017. What more does one want!
5) Uday Kotak: CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank
According to the PTI report, Uday Kotak took an annual salary of Rs 2.47 crores.
6) Chanda Kochhar: CEO of ICICI
She earned a whopping Rs 7.85 crores in FY 2016-2017. Wish I get this position, haha!
7) Pawan Munjal: CEO of Hero Motocorp
He’s in fact the highest paid CEO in this list. His annual salary package in FY 2016-2017 was Rs 59.66 crores. Wow man, amazing!
8) Y.C. Deveshwar: Chairman and CEO of ITC
He is no more on this top executive role. But as per reports, he had taken an annual package of Rs 21.6 crores.
9) Rajiv Bajaj: MD and CEO of Bajaj Auto
He took away a salary package of Rs 25.59 crores; aren’t you feeling jealous?
10) Azim Premji: CEO of Wipro
His salary is lowest as compared to others in the list. During FY 2016-2017, he took a salary package of just Rs 79 lakhs. Not even a crore?
