In a country like India, cricket is one of the most important topics to talk about. Every single player of the Indian cricket team has made us proud. Not just the whole of India is proud of their achievements but the cricketers themselves have a lot of good things to say about their team members.
When the former cricketers have to talk about Virat Kohli, all they have to share is admiration and respect. Some of the big names in cricket are also a huge fan of him. This 27-year-old Delhi boy has nailed it hard with his outstanding performance on field!
From VVS Laxman to Sourav Ganguly, everyone have just words of appreciation for Kohli. He’s indeed a deserving vice-captain of the Indian cricket team. This obviously makes him the most important member of the team. But our World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev has a different view to this.
According to the legendary all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin is the most valuable member of the current Indian side. This is what Kapil has to say,
“Since Ashwin started playing he has done unbelievably well. I never expected that somebody can come to this level. Harbhajan Singh bowled so well and claimed more than 400 Test wickets and suddenly Ashwin comes out and starts taking wickets and scoring runs. I think he (Ashwin) is the most important player the Indian team has right now”.
Indeed, the off-spinner is amazing with his balling skills but, it is his improvement in batting that has surprised everyone. In the Test series against West Indies, Ashwin has delivered two hundreds with another man-of-the-series
