Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) once again proved as to why it is always fans’ favourite team to win the IPL trophy in every season. After losing a match against Mumbai Indians (MI), CSK was quick to bounce back and returned to the winning mode as they defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Saturday.
The Chennai team gave a target of 160 runs to the Punjab team and defended it in a quite good manner despite the fact that Punjab has some really big hitters including the West Indian batsman Chris Gayle. R Ashwin led Punjab was restricted to 138 runs and it lost the match by 22 runs after which CSK now sits at the top on the points table with winning 4 out of 5 games.
The match was played at the MA Chidambaram stadium, Chennai and Dhoni thanked the local crowd for turning up and supporting them in the match. Dhoni seemed to be in a very good mood after the match and he also got himself involved in a sprint with Shane Watson and Imran Tahir’s sons.
The young boys were thinking of competing in a sprint when Dhoni came running from behind and challenged both of them. While returning he also picked up Tahir’s son in his arms and had a wonderful time with the kids.
