“Hey Google! Lets Go To Coffee!” These Are Actually The Names Of People In This Indian Village

Remember the times when your name was the butt of the joke in school, with no one pronouncing it properly rather always making fun of it. This is now the story of the past, because first of all people don’t give a damn about such things. Move over this dilemma, as people in this South Indian village, are actually proudly keeping strange names of their children (as per our intuition).

In this village of Karnataka, called Bhadrapur, you will find people named Glucose, Obama, Google, Coffee, Military, British, English, High Court, to name a few. Aint that really weird!

Like Conversations would be like – “Hey! Coffee! Do you need Coffee or Glucose”? 😀 😀

Well, when dig deeper, we came to know that it is actually the effect of urbanization. Particularly, this tribal community named ‘The Hakki Pikki” which used to reside in a forest, when came in contact with bits and pieces of urban hood, they randomly pick something that interests them and there goes the story behind naming their off springs with weird and awkward (in near future) name.

The hilarious part begins here, they have a Shahrukh, an Elizabeth and even a Google in their community. Japan has a nephew named High Court and Mysore Pak has a sister-in-law named Bangalore Pak. And Supreme Court, One by Two and America are best friends. You will be surprised to know that they even have Congress and Janta.

The story doesn’t end here! These people have their passports, Aadhar Card, and all government official Id’s registered under the same strange name!

With each name there is a history associated with it, Yes, coffee was coined after the kid was born near a coffee plantation,! Phew Thank God! No one was born near a Loo!

So, do you remember the weirdest name you ever heard?
