Delhi’s pollution levels are getting worse day by day, the air is becoming poisonous to breathe in. Around 1,800 primary schools in New Delhi have been ordered to shut down today as Delhi experiences some of the worst pollution in recent years.
The report of city’s pollution monitoring agency showed that concentrations of Particulate Matter or PM 10 was over 1,200 micrograms per cubic metre this morning compared to a safe level of 100 at around 9 am in Delhi’s Anand Vihar. PM 2.5. These particles which are present in air can result in serious respiratory diseases on prolonged exposure.
The AAP government has not done anything to cope up with the serious problem of pollution rather than just talking big. Earlier the AAP government came up with the odd-even road rationing policy. But it did not make a big enough impact on pollution, so the government pulled it back.
Most of the Delhi People are suffering from this pollution. There has been a lot of talk. But it’s time the AAP government takes some action. New Delhi’s air quality has worsened over the years, the air quality degrading is a consequence of industrial plants, burning of crop stubble in farms, and the rapid urbanization.
