Yogeshwar Dutt, a freestyle wrestler of India, made headlines for winning a bronze medal at London Olympics in the year 2012 and here’s good news for all the Indians as his bronze medal is to be upgraded to silver!
Yes, you read it right! As confirmed by reports, Russian freestyle wrestler Besik Kudukhov who won a silver medal in London Olympics 2012 in the 60 kg freestyle division made use of prohibited substances.
According to flowrestling.org, a Russian agency, deceased Besik who had been the world champion four times and won medals in Olympics twice was tested positive for doping which World Anti-Doping Agency conducted.
Hence, many media reports suggest that the bronze medal won by Yogeshwar Dutt in the same might be upgraded to silver and if this happens, Dutt will come on the level of Sushil Kumar, a silver medallist from London Olympics.

Nevertheless, official confirmation from International Olympic Committee and United World Wrestling (UWW) has not yet come. And this upgradation of bronze to silver will be confirmed only when UWW gives it in writing to Wrestling Federation of India.
