Recently, we saw how Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked on the sets of Padmavati by Karni Sena, a religious group in Jaipur. Yes, the sets were destroyed and SLB was brutally attacked. Now, there’s another film that has faced the same wrath. This time, we are talking about “Badrinath ki Dulhaniya”.

According to reports, sources have revealed that Hindu organization has sent a letter to the Censor Board and has demanded that Varun Dhawan’s name i.e “Badrinath” should be changed as it is not acceptable.

The religious group stated that Badrinath is a pilgrimage site wherein devotees of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu gather to pray; they claimed that the movie shows “Badrinath” in a flirty manner, thereby defaming the holy place.

In the letter, they have also demanded that the name must be changed from Badrinath to Badri. Such incidents are becoming very common these days; gone are the days when only the censor board would approve the movie. Nowadays, it is the religious groups who decide whether the movie should go ahead or not.
