We always see social media being flooded with provocative statements and posts that many a times irk people of various communities. But wait; among all this, there are several instances of communal harmony too, which bring a smile to our face.
Yes, today we have such a story which would definitely restore your faith in humanity. Often when we hear the term ‘Hindu-Muslim’, we associate it with feelings of hatred, but this Hindu man has done something which would change your perception completely.
Basically, a Facebook post about a Hindu rickshawala, named Shuklaji, went viral. He is not a common rickshawala but he is someone who left no stones unturned to make a Muslim man happy.
On 26th August, Rameez Shaikh (The Muslim man) was going to attend the Friday prayers and in a hurry, he forgot to carry his wallet. He realized it only after sitting in the rickshaw after which he requested the rickshawala to take him for prayers, wait till the prayers get over and then drop him to office, where he would pay him. He also agreed to pay him the extra waiting charges.
But Shuklaji was very kind enough to understand his situation. He believed that he was going there to pray and it was his duty as a human to drop him there. More than ‘Caste’ and ‘Money’, this rickshawala gave preference to ‘Humanity’ which is highly appreciable, isn’t it? Yes, he actually dropped Rameez without charging a single penny. Moreover, the auto-driver also offered him money from his pocket, so that he could easily reach his workplace after prayers.
