Niyamat Shaikh, the alleged victim in Salman Khan’s hit and run which took place in the year 2002 approached Supreme Court and challenged his release in connection with the case in which one life was lost while 4 had been injured.

Niyamat requests the court to pay attention to his plea as well at the time of judgment on appeal Maharashtra govt. has filed against the actor’s release. The alleged victim seeks compensation and claims that he is a daily breadwinner and after this accident, has become disabled permanently which resulted in no income source for his family.

He further added that he and his family are leading an extremely miserable life since Niyamat had been the only source of earning and for the same, he requested that compensation for his loss should be directed by the court.

In the petition, Niyamat Shaikh states that victims are crucial parts of judgment and that’s why, the court must hear him too. Moreover, he adds that High Court as well as trial court utterly ignored CrPC Sections 357 and 357 A according to which there’s a provision of compensation to victims.

Additionally, family of the person who died in the incident approached apex court for seeking compensation and protesting against the release order of Bombay high court.
