Hrithik Roshan To Play The Best & Most Challenging Role Of His Life In Sanjay Leela’s Next

When it comes to portraying legendary historical characters on the silver screen with perfection, one name that instantly comes in our minds is undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan. His depiction of Sarman in “Mohenjo Daro” and Mughal emperor Akbar in “Jodhaa Akbar” have added to his fan following.

Now reports suggest that he might play the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s adaption of “The Immortals of Meluha”.

If you know about the series, you must be knowing that it’s the first ever book in the Shiva trilogy. Other books in the series are “The Secret of the Nagas” and “The Oath of the Vayuputras”. This depicts Hindu God Shiva’s origin and throws light on His rule over Meluha as well as shows how He got married to Parvati.

Earlier the market of rumors was abuzz with the news that Karan Johar purchased rights for making a film on this book but then it was reported that he cancelled the plan as he was scared of the outcome of making a movie which is based on a Hindu God.

Nevertheless, Amish Tripathi, author of the book, had this to say about KJo:

“The contract had expired. There were various issues but Karan and I have parted as friends.”

He further states that some other studio is finalized now. After KJo missed the opportunity, Sanjay Leela showed interest in making a movie on this book. Just to inform, KJo named the movie “Shuddhi” and considered actors like Salman, Tiger and Varun Dhawan for the venture.

Hrithik and Sanjay have worked together in 2010 released “Guzaarish” and now people are excited for their new venture!
