However, something seems to have gone wrong with his sensing powers while he was rejecting these movies. Yes, you heard it right; Hrithik rejected these 6 blockbuster movies for some or the reason. 1. Shuddhi!
Reason of rejection: HEALTH ISSUES!
There is a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming movie ‘Shuddhi’. There was news that Hrithik and Kareena would be the leads, but Hrithik had to suddenly exit due to some health issues. On the other hand, there were rumors that he wasn’t satisfied with profit shares and hence, he took this decision. Varun Dhawan replaced him.
2. Bunty Aur Babli!
Reason of rejection: EARLIER MOVIE WITH YRF WAS FLOP!
Reports said that makers had approached Hrithik for Bunty’s role, but since his earlier movie with YRF, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ was flop, Hrithik preferred not to take risks. He opted out of the movie and was replaced by Abhishek Bachchan.
3. Swades!
Reason of rejection: UNKNOWN!
According to reports, it was Hrithik Roshan who was selected for Swades, but was replaced by Shah Rukh Khan for reasons unknown. However, SRK was lucky enough because he won numerous awards for the movie.
4.Dil Chahta Hai!
Reason of rejection: UNKNOWN!
Initially, Hrithik was selected for playing the role of Siddharth in the movie ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ but he rejected the role and Akshay Khanna was roped in.
5.Rang De Basanti!
Reason of rejection- HE DIDN’T GET THE ROLE OF DJ!
Reports say that Hrithik Roshan was selected for ‘Rang De Basanti’ but he refused the movie because he wanted to play DJ (Aamir Khan’s character). Since Aamir was already roped in, Hrithik had to back out.
6.Main Hoon Na!
Reason of rejection- HIS CHARACTER LACKED DEPTH!
Makers approached Hrithik Roshan to play the role of SRK’s younger brother in ‘Main Hoon Na’ but since he felt that the character lacked depth, he refused the role and was replaced by Zayed Khan.
