Hyderabad Techie’s Wife Commits Suicide As America Rejects H1B Visa Extension Request!

After Donald Trump became the US President, Asians are finding difficult to survive there. Sanjay Sharma a native of Faridabad, Uttar Pradesh married Rashmi in year 2003. He has been working with Bank Of America in the USA for last 9 years and was very well settled in America.

He along with his wife and two sons were forced to leave the US recently after his H1B Visa extension request got rejected.

It had been hardly a month since Sanjay returned from the US to Hyderabad and his wife Rashmi committed suicide. 39-year-old Rashmi Sharma was found hanging in their flat in Hyderabad’s Alkapur Colony in Puppalaguda on Thursday evening while Sanjay and their two sons had gone out for Laptop repair.

As per reports, The family, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, had come to Hyderabad a month ago where Sanjay had secured a job at an IT company.

Talking with Deccan Herald Sanjay said,

“My wife was very disturbed when she came to know about the status of my work permit. While she wanted to return to our native state either in Faridabad or Noida, I found a job here,”

Police who booked a case of suicide, have found no suicide note in the possession of Rashmi and reportedly did not accept the Visa issue as the main reason for her death and are investigating other leads. The preliminary investigations show that there was no major problem between Sanjay and his wife.

Krishna Reddy a Visa consultant located in Begumpet said adding

“Recently there are many cases of non extension of work permits in the USA, particularly from firms in the Midwest. Many of the returned IT professionals have applied for new work permits in April 2017 and are keeping their fingers crossed. The process of lottery has begun and there will be many more broken hearts by the end of the month,”

It feels really sad to hear news like this. We think one must remain surrounded by family & parents in difficult times. Even in hardest times, we can survive with the help of eternal support by family. Also one can take the help of counsellors who specialise in mental healing. After all, Who has seen the world after death?
