Beef has already been a sensitive and controversial issue and what poured oil on this fire is Dadri murder case in which a man was killed as he was rumored to have eaten beef. Now a shocking remark in this connection has come from Markandey Katju, Former Chairman of Press Council of India and Retired Justice, who boldly states of his eating beef in addition to not considering cow as mother in views of the fact that it’s also an animal as dog or horse. What’s more, according to him, political leaders are robbers and thieves and deserve to be hanged.
It was on Saturday morning that he said these things before media at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. Talking about the Dadri case, Katju said that the wrongdoer should be harshly punished and in relation to eating beef, he affirmed of his consuming it. In addition, he said that he would continue having it even though he did not force anyone else to consume the same.
Further, he talked about the whole world eating it, adding that they weren’t evil folks or idiots. In fact, individuals eat beef in Mizoram & Nagaland and you can’t compel them for not having it. Also he spoke about cow being an animal similar to horse and dog but mother.
As per Katju, Dadri incident has been highlighted for vote bank politics plus leaders are making a fool of common man to serve their own political purposes.
