Dia Mirza, a former Miss Asia Pacific and acclaimed actress, has captivated audiences with not only her beauty but also her grace and talent. Known for her environmental work and humanitarian efforts, Dia has built a reputation beyond the silver screen. From pageants to powerful performances, she continues to inspire many.
Dia recently shared a nostalgic note on Instagram, expressing heartfelt gratitude for her debut film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein which released in 2001. Posting a serene selfie dressed in a simple white kurta, she looked radiant as ever, smiling softly at the camera. She chose the rain theme from the movie’s background score to accompany her post, the same tune that introduced her character Reena in the Gautham Vasudev Menon directed film.
In her caption, Dia wrote, “This tune has in so many ways defined the song of my adult life… I was 19 when I danced in the rain with children… the first visual that introduced me as an actor to the audience. With a film title that defines the very essence of the hope one carries into this journey called – LIFE.” She also expressed her deep appreciation for the love and support she has received over the years, saying, “Rehna Hain Terre Dil Mein – Then, Now and Always… So so grateful for your acceptance, your generosity and love.”

Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein is a romantic drama starring Dia alongside R. Madhavan, Saif Ali Khan and Anupam Kher. The film was a Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Minnale, also directed by Menon. Madhavan reprised his role from the original, making it his first major appearance in Bollywood after a small uncredited part in Is Raat Ki Subah Nahi.
The story centers around the character Madhav “Maddy” Shastri and his love for Reena Malhotra, who is soon to be engaged to Rajeev “Sam” Samra — a successful young man from the US and Maddy’s former rival from college.
Dia’s most recent project is Nadaaniyan, directed by Shauna Gautam. The film features Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor in lead roles, with Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty and Jugal Hansraj also part of the cast.
