After CBSE, the results of ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations have also been announced on Monday at 3 pm and the announcement regarding this was made by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations.
The students have been provided with the facility of checking their results by mobile messaging as well as through the website of council and CAREERS portal. The council’s chief executive and secretary, Gerry Arathoon, said,
“Individual candidates can access the results by logging onto the council’s website – www.cisce.org – and selecting the Results 2017 option.”
This year, there is a slight increase in the pass percentage of class 12th, as the percentage has increased to 96.47% from 96.46% of last year.
Ananya Maity from Heritage School, Kolkata, is the ISC topper of class 12th with 99.5% marks and this is what Seema Sapru, principal of her school said about her,
“I’m delighted. I cannot tell you how happy I am. She is a wonderful child. She’s not only brilliant, in academics but also in creative writing. What’s more, she’s down to earth and well behaved.”
Ananya’s father said,
“She has an inclination for creative writing. She also loves to play the piano. Needless to say, she devoted a number of hours in studies.”
As of 10th class, Ashwin Rao from Bangalore’s Saint Paul English and Muskan Abdullah Pathan from Pune’s Hathcings High School have attained the top position jointly with 99.4%.
73,633 students gave ISC 12th examination this year and out of the total, the number of girls is 33,930 while there were 39,703 boys. The number of girls who have failed is 769 while in case of boys, 1831 have failed. The total number of schools which conducted ISC examinations is 988.
