Women have always been considered as weaker gender and they have lived in a male dominant society over the years. Though things are changing now still the situation is not as good as it should have been. There are many women who are still getting oppressed, especially the married women who have to handle all the household chores and also don’t have the freedom to live their lives as per their choice.
Recently, a Twitter user who is a practicing lawyer has made a tweet in which he talks about the list of conditions or rules that are given to a married woman by her in-laws and she has to follow all of them if she wants to live with her husband. The online user hasn’t revealed the details of the case, he is wife’s lawyer and husband’s lawyer has given this list to police officials.
He tweeted the list with the caption, “These are conditions from Husband side to wife who left the matrimonial house. If she obeys these conditions, they are ready to make her live with the Boy. I was wife side Advocate, Husband side Advocate gave this list inside the police station. Read this fully…..”

As the list was in a regional language, the other online users asked him to translate it in English which was done by another online user. As per the list, the wife won’t be given the main gate key; she has to come down at 8 am; if she wants to go upstairs in the room, even for using toilet or taking bath, she needs to take permission from mother-in-law; she won’t be allowed to use cell phone especially with family and relative; no family member will come to her mother-in-law’s house; she can talk with her husband only for an hour and that too about herself, etc.

Soon, the micro-blogging site was flooded with reactions as many were shocked to see that even today women are forced to live like this, there were some who stated that situation is worse than this in some cases and life is hell for many married women. While many called it modern day slavery and even worse than that, few asked why the woman still wants to live with her husband and some even suggested her to file for divorce.
