INDIA IS NOT A COUNTRY FOR WOMEN, Tweets Shruti Seth

Actress Shruti Seth has brought an end to the Twitter war which was waged against her after a tweet made by her on hashtag #SelfieWithDaughter. She responded almost to everyone and fought this twitter war valiantly.

Here is what she said in her tweet when she put an end to it:

You've abused me, my parents, my husband, my daughter, my career over an opinion I stated. The darkness of this place leaves me hopeless.

The hatred I've encountered today on a difference of opinion just goes to show this is no country for women. #SelfieWithDaughter #suchasham

This started when Shruti expressed her contrary opinion on Twitter regarding the #SelfieWithDaughter, an idea proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his “Mann Ki Baat” on Sunday. Shruti tweeted “A selfie is not a device to bring about change, Mr PM” and “Be more than a photograph.”

Since then Shruti had become a target of many twitter users who didn’t only abuse her but also accused her of publicity starving, treason and called her bitch.

Shruti has worked in movies like Fanaa and hosted shows like Comedy Circus. She is married to Break Ke Baad Director Danish Aslam.

In the manner she fought the Twitter war, she was appreciated by some Twitter users like this one:

This Shruti Seth came from nowhere and is already a boss!
