Once a relative of George V Nereaparambil said to him that he can’t even enter Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and now George is the owner of 22 posh apartments there.

As per a media report, George was a mechanic who has now become a businessman. He is basically from Kerala and at present, he is among the largest private owners within the tallest structure of the world, i.e., Burj Khalifa.

Even after 22, he has no plans of halting and will buy more if a “good deal” comes his way. Here’s what he told Khaleej Times,

“If I get a good deal, I’ll buy more. I am a dreamer and I never stop dreaming.”

It all started when a relative of George said to him, “See this Burj Khalifa, you cannot enter it.”

In 2010, he saw a newspaper advertisement of an apartment for rent in the 828-meter tall tower. He immediately rented the apartment and shifted there, the very next day.

After six years, out of 900 apartments of Burj Khalifa, 22 are owned by George, five of them are rented and as far as the rest are concerned, he is “waiting for the right tenant”.

George’s extraordinary story starts from his hometown where he used to help his father who traded in cash crops and George also made money from the waste since the age of 11. He then went on to found GEO Group of Companies.

He said,

“People in my hometown used to trade cotton, but they’d throw away the cotton seeds. Not many people knew at that time that you could make gum from those seeds.”

George used to filter them out from dirt and sand but made “90 per cent profit selling them on”. He further said, “I’d do the same with tamarind seeds too. I’d sell the empty shells on as cattle feed.”

Then in 1976, he came to Sharjah and realized that there was a huge scope for air conditioning business as the weather was so hot.

George has definitely made all Indians proud and is an inspiration for all and sundry, proving that nothing can stop you from making your dreams come true.
