Nowadays people are very crazy for iPhones and almost 50 percent of the population today possesses one. However, this man suffered from injuries due to the iPhone. Yes, this management consultant from Sydney, Gareth Clear suffered from third degree burns due to explosion of his iPhone 6.

As per reports it is said that the iPhone 6 was in his back pocket and after he fell down from his bike, he landed on the smartphone, which caught fire.
Reports say;
“Seconds later he noticed smoke and a searing heat, before hearing an explosion as the phone he’d had for just six months ignited, melting through his shorts and two layers of skin on his upper right thigh,”

The injury was very serious and Gareth had to go for skin graft at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital. Clear stated that the back of the iPhone 6 got completely damaged as lithium leaked out from that and the metal was all bent.
Now Apple has stated that it would probe the matter. Gareth has also left a tweet highlighting how dangerous lithium-ion batteries are. Have a look at the tweet;

So all you iPhone users, take proper care while using your phone as it might explode if not handled properly.
