You might be thinking this is some kind of Prank post but this is true. A Student from Punjab has got iPhone Gold in just 68 Rs. And he should thank Snapdeal for that.
Nikhil Bansal, B.tech student from Punjab University got iPhone Gold 16GB for just 68Rs!
The story relates to 12 Feb when Nikhil placed an order for iPhone on Snapdeal which then showed its price as Rs.68. Soon after he placed the order he even got the confirmation and he kept waiting for the phone to be delivered.
But few days later the order got cancelled automatically. Nikhil ofcourse didn’t like the way his order got cancelled and chose to reach out consumer court. To everyone’s surprise Consumer Court gave its decision in favor of Nikhil and ordered Snapdeal to deliver Nikhil the phone in the said price.
However Snapdeal upon the cost of the phone was also asked to pay a penalty of Rs.2000 for violating the rules. Snapdeal wanted to fight back and hence filed a return application but I guess Consumer Court didn’t like SnapDeal’s idea to fight back on its on mistake, so it asked Snapdeal to pay an Additional charge of 8000 and hence total penalty came up to 10000 + an iPhone Gold 16GB. 😛
Lessons Learnt : Never Keep Quiet If You See Something Wrong Happening & When Court Has Ordered You To Pay A Penalty Don’t Argue 😛
