South African greatest fast bowler Dale Steyn has been ruled out of Royal Challengers Bangalore from the Indian Premier League 2019 remaining season due to an inflammation in his right shoulder.
Dale who joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in the mid-session and only has played two games yet, he came as a replacement of the Australian player Nathan Coulter- Nile.
Steyn made an immediate impact after joining the team and was leading the bowling team. He played a pivotal role in the match against Chennai Super Kings.
Dale Steyn has been asked to rest due to inflammation in his shoulder. On the account of the state of his health, Dale will not be able to be part of the ongoing season of IPL, RCB management said in a statement.
They also said he helped the team immensely and they are very thankful for the passion that he has brought to the squad. Royal Challengers Bangalore will be missing his energy and presence around and we wish him a speedy recovery and all the luck for all future endeavours.
South African team manager Mohammed Moosajee said in a statement on Thursday a flare-up has been located in his right shoulder and with utmost priority he will be treated as World Cup is just around the corner.
