Irfan Pathan Has An Epic Reply To Fan Who Asks About Virat Kohli On Irfan’s Farewell Match Tweet

The fans of MS Dhoni were in for a rude shock when the former skipper announced his retirement from the International cricket on 14th August 2020. Earlier it was anticipated that Mahi will be playing the T20 ICC World Cup 2020 but the tournament got cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. What made fans more upset was the fact that Dhoni didn’t even get a proper farewell and the career which was full of achievements came to an end silently through an Instagram post.

Irfan Pathan Has An Epic Reply To Fan Who Asks About Virat Kohli On Irfan’s Farewell Match Tweet - RVCJ Media

It is not the first time that we are hearing about cricketers not getting proper farewell as it has happened earlier also with many other cricketers, such as Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, etc. Whatever may be the reason but it is certainly not good to see cricketers bidding goodbye without a farewell match as at one point of time, they were heroes who helped their team in winning matches and made the country proud.

The former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has come up with a brilliant idea in this regard and his idea has been appreciated by many on social media as well. As per Irfan, a number of people are talking about cricketers not getting proper send-off so why we can’t play a charity plus farewell match in which the present Indian team plays against the team of the retired players. He also posts the list of the retired players XI on the micro-blogging site Twitter in which he includes the name of Suresh Raina also who has followed the footsteps of MS Dhoni and taken retirement on the same day.

Here is what Irfan tweeted, “Many people are talking about a farewell game for retired players who didn’t get a proper send-off from the game. How about a charity cum farewell game from a team consisting of retired players vs the current Indian team?”

While many loved the idea, there was one online user who made a funny comment as he asked Irfan, “Kyun Chiku ko pelne me lge ho” (Why do you want to trouble Chiku aka Virat Kohli).

Here is the tweet:

This tweet must have brought a smile on the face of Irfan Pathan but he came back with a wonderful reply and wrote, “Chiku hamara kachumbar bana dega” which roughly translates to Chiku will destroy us.

Irfan surely has a great sense of humour and fans of MS Dhoni need not be very sad as they will at least see him playing cricket in the IPL 2020. Mahi has been associated with Chennai Super Kings as the skipper since the inaugural edition 2008 and the team has won the league three times under his leadership.
