The whole world is in a state of shock and panic due to the coronavirus scare as it has already taken lives of more than 13K people and more than 3 lakh people have been found infected with it all over the world. The Indian government and the state governments have taken many steps to control to the coronavirus outbreak which has been declared as a pandemic. The number of cases in India has increased to 341 while 7 people have lost their lives till now due to this disease.
Recently, the Gujarat government has banned spitting in public places as it can also result in the spread of coronavirus. This is indeed a welcoming move and might help in the prevention of spreading of COVID-19 that is worsening with every passing day.
Many people applauded this step by the government including the former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan and he also expressed a wish, stating that this ban should be applicable forever as it will help in keeping the environment better and cleaner.
Irfan Pathan took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote,
“Welcome move by #GujaratGovernment to ban the spitting in public during #coronavirus time. It should be ban forever for better n cleaner environment…”

Irfan Pathan is one of the best all-rounders who have played for India and the Gujarat cricketer was recently seen in the Road Safety World Series 2020 in which he played for India Legends. However, the Road Safety World Series 2020 was cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak while the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has been postponed till April 15.
Today (March 22), the whole India is observing Janta Curfew from morning 7 am till 9 pm. The government has asked the citizens to stay at home, travel only if very necessary and while travelling, they should wear masks, maintain personal hygiene and wash hands regularly in order to save themselves from coronavirus.
We also agree with Irfan Pathan that spitting in public places should be banned forever. What do you say?
