Cricket rivalries are not just limited to the field, sometimes, the real action unfolds online. Former India batter Ajay Jadeja stirred conversation after reacting to a statement made by Pakistan’s Shadab Khan during the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

After Pakistan sealed their place in the Super 8 stage with a win over Namibia, Shadab commented that with the holy month of Ramadan beginning, it would act like a “12th man” for the team in the next round. His remark came after Pakistan secured their third win in four Group A matches in the tournament, which is being held across Sri Lanka and India.

Shadab Khan said, “Ramadan is here and now we’ve our 12th man with us in Super 8”.

Ajay Jadeja responded on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with a sarcastic post. In a light-hearted dig, he suggested that if that logic were true, Pakistan would have already won many World Cups by now. His comment quickly caught the attention of fans from both sides of the border.

Ajay Jadeja wrote, “Is logic se to Pakistan ne ab tak 10-12 world cup jeet jane chahiye the”.
