Now the devotees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) can offer shares and securities as donation to the Almighty. As per a release, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has opened his demat account in the Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL).
The release said, “The Central Depositories Service Limited (CDSL) officers have met TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva in his Chambers at TTD administrative building in Tirupati last evening and handed over the related Demat papers to him.”
The shares and securities are kept in electronic form nowadays in a dematerialised or demat account, instead of providing the investors with hard copies of the share certificates.
