It's Finally Here. Mark Zuckerberg To Launch A New Feature “DISLIKE” Button On Facebook - RVCJ Media

According to reports, Mark Zuckerberg is to bring about some change in Facebook by introducing a new feature, i.e., DISLIKE Button, which would enable people to ‘express empathy’ on bad news of near and dear ones. In the words of Mark, “What they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment.” This is what users have been expecting and requesting for long and finally, the team is all set in the direction of launching a “dislike” button for which the company has already started putting efforts so as to come up soon with the new development.

Earlier Facebook forbade to add this feature but Zuckerberg made an announcement of changing his decision. This is what he has to say in this connection:

“I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it.”

At the same time, he agrees that the team is scared to launch this feature since they are afraid of its becoming same as Reddit wherein people are able to downvote & upvote posts.

As he stated, “That isn’t what we’re here to build in the world.” Mark further added, “We don’t want to turn Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people’s posts.
