While we know him best as a star of the silver screen, Amitabh Bachchan once embarked on a brief but impactful journey into the world of politics, a chapter he recently reflected upon with candor.

During a recent episode of his quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, the superstar openly discussed his decision to step away from politics. He shared that he found the political landscape to be an incredibly challenging arena. He had entered politics from his hometown of Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj, where the people’s immense support had led him to a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections. Yet, he soon realised the complexities of the job. “It’s a very difficult task,” he said, describing the constant balancing act required to address various viewpoints and demands.

It was through this journey that he got to see firsthand how life thrives in the country’s rural villages. He gained a deep understanding of the people’s lives and their customs, noting the genuine respect they show to those who come to them during elections.
