Ravindra Jadeja was handed a 1-match suspension yesterday after he accumulated 6 demerit points in a period of 2 years. He threw a ball back at Dimuth Karunaratne despite him being on the crease. The hit was a dangerous one and could have easily injured the batsman.
He was suspended for the 3rd test match against Sri Lanka at Pallekele and was also fined 50 percent of the match fees. Although he was the man of the match in the 2nd test match (By taking 7 wickets and scoring half century), he couldn’t escape this suspension.
However, he hit back at the ICC with a sarcastic tweet. Jadeja’s reply to ICC was epic and also in SRK style. Here’s what he said;
