Priyanka Chopra starrer “Jai Gangaajal” directed by Prakash Jha is the sequel of “Gangaajal” which released in the year 2003 and starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Like “Gangaajal”, in the second part too, the lead character, i.e., PeeCee, is playing the role of an honest police officer and a huge success was anticipated from the flick since Priyanka is growing as a bigger and more popular actress with every film and her fame is not limited merely to India but is spreading across the world.
Talking of the collection of “Jai Gangaajal”, the movie got a slow response on its opening day, i.e., ₹ 5.50 cr on Friday which seemed to be quite disappointed if we take into consideration the popularity and success of the first part of the series.
However, it was expected that on Saturday, the collections will go up but things didn’t change much on the second day as well since it earned only ₹ 6.25 cr. and hence, the total business done by the film in the domestic market is ₹ 11.75 cr which can’t be considered bad but not satisfactory too!!
