Directed by Prakash Jha and starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role, the much awaited Hindi movie “Jai Gangaajal” released yesterday. The movie is a sequel of Ajay Devgn starrer “Gangaajal” which was a crime film released in the year 2003. In the first part of the series, Ajay played the role of a police officer while in the sequel, Priyanka is portraying the character of an honest cop.
Even though “Gangaajal” got a good response, “Jai Gangaajal” did not seem to attract the audience and drag them towards theaters since the movie made an average collection on the first day.
Talking of its earning on Friday, “Jai Gangaajal” had a collection of merely ₹ 5.50 cr in the domestic market which is even though not bad, yet not good too, taking into consideration the success of “Gangaajal”.

What’s more, the movie stars PeeCee who is no more only a national celeb but has become an international personality after ‘Quantico’. Additionally, she has also signed her first ever Hollywood flick entitled Baywatch.
