All-rounder Australian cricketer James Faulkner was celebrating his 29th birthday on April 29. Faulker took to Instagram to post a picture from his birthday dinner. The Australian cricketer shared a picture with his mother and introduced his boyfriend Rob Jubb to the world with the caption that read ‘Birthday dinner with the boyfriend and mother #togetherfor5years‘.
After the picture was posted it created a humongous buzz all around the world cause for the first time a male international cricketer opened out about being gay. Though he is not the first cricketer to have come out and announced a same-sex relationship.
The Cricketer later cleared the air an hour after his Instagram post of his mother and boyfriend. He justified he is not gay. Also said Robb is his housemate and cleared the misunderstanding with the Instagram post.
Cricket Australia also clarified the misunderstanding and said it doesn’t consider the social commentary from Faulkner to be a joke neither does James.
