Jasmin Bhasin recently opened up about her humble beginnings, early career choices and the reality of navigating the entertainment world. In a candid interview, she recalled earning her first salary of just Rs 5,000 while working part-time for an event management company. Her responsibilities included creating PowerPoint presentations to support production teams during events. Despite the modest start, she described those days as adventurous, filled with challenges she embraced with determination rather than seeing them as struggles.
Jasmin also revisited her brief experience in South Indian cinema. Her Tamil debut fared well but her ventures in Telugu films did not meet expectations. Looking back, she admitted to not knowing the right people or making the best choices at the time, which left her feeling directionless and ultimately prompted her to step away from that industry. She candidly shared how those missteps shaped her understanding of the film world and reinforced her commitment to staying true to herself.
One particularly difficult moment in her career came when she was removed from a film after ignoring an inappropriate message from a South Indian director. Having already shot for nearly a week, she was dismissed under the claim that she couldn’t act. Jasmin, however, saw this moment as a turning point.
Rather than giving in, she held her ground, emphasising the importance of self-respect. She also spoke about the intense pressure to remain visible in the industry, revealing that she often overworked herself out of fear of being replaced. Despite this, she noted that while her body felt the exhaustion, her mind remained strong.
Her acting career began with the 2011 Tamil film Vaanam and she went on to become a familiar face on Indian television. Jasmin starred in popular shows such as Tashan-e-Ishq, Dil Se Dil Tak and Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel. She also gained national recognition through her appearances on reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India and Bigg Boss 14.
Raised in a Sikh family in Kota, Rajasthan, Jasmin completed her schooling in her hometown and later pursued a degree in hospitality in Jaipur. Her personal life also attracted attention when she met Aly Goni on Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 in 2018. The two began dating in 2021, becoming one of the most talked-about couples in the television industry.
