The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is certainly one of the best pacers of the present times and currently he is playing for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 2024.
There is no denying the fact that Jasprit Bumrah has been instrumental in the success of five times champions, Mumbai Indians and yesterday also he played an important role in MI’s win over Punjab Kings in the match which was played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium, Mohali, Punjab. Jasprit Bumrah ended the match with figures of 3/21 and he was also adjudged as the Player of the Match for his superb performance.
Recently, Mumbai Indians posted a video in which a young fan got the chance to meet his favourite cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. In the video, the young fan is seen asking Bumrah to recognize the bowling action that he will do, the pacer instantly recognizes that the young fan is copying his bowling acting. Bumrah asks the boy whether he can do the bowling action of any other bowler to which the boy refuses and says that he copies Bumrah’s action only while practicing with his father. Ishan Kishan doesn’t waste any time and confirms from the boy that Jasprit Bumrah is his favourite cricketer and in response, Bumrah exclaims that he has a good choice and great taste.

As far as the match between MI and PBKS is concerned, the toss was won by PBKS and they chose to bowl first. While Suryakumar Yadav played a blistering knock of 78 runs (53 balls, 7 fours & 3 sixes), Rohit Sharma (36 runs, 25 balls, 2 fours & 3 sixes) and Tilak Varma (34 runs not out, 18 balls, 2 fours & 2 sixes) played useful knocks and helped their team in posting a total of 192/7.
While chasing the target of 193, PBKS had a bad start as half of their team was back in the pavilion at the score of 49 runs but Shashank Singh (41 runs, 25 balls, 2 fours & 3 sixes) and Ashutosh Sharma (61 runs, 28 balls, 2 fours & 7 sixes) kept the hopes of PBKS alive. Nevertheless, the Punjab team fell short by 9 runs as the whole squad was all out for 183 runs in 19.1 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah took 3 important wickets of the PBKS skipper Sam Curran (6 runs), Rilee Rossouw (1 run) and Shashank Singh and gave only 21 runs in his 4 overs.
