Jio has already taken the telecom market by storm by launching some attractive 4G offers. Now, it is once again set to create a wave of destruction in the smartphone market. Yes, very soon Jio would launch the cheapest 4G VoLTE feature phones in the market.

As per reports, it would be launching 2 phones in this series, in the 1st half of 2017 and if reports are to be believed, the cost would be Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.
Moreover, reports claim that the phones would be powered by a Spreadtrum 9820 processor and will have Wi-Fi, BlueTooth and camera, along with a large display.
Reliance has already introduced the LYF range which starts with a price of Rs 2,999. Since Jio 4G has become superhit, even the demand for such devices has almost doubled up. These phones target those first time data users in rural areas; let us see how successful the company is.
This move by Reliance is basically for increasing the user base of Jio and to target users from tier-2 and tier-3 towns, who use phones mainly to make calls.

Reports have quoted sources as saying;
“Jio wants to tap all the segments in the country and sees huge potential in the rural areas, which it now aims to tap with VoLTE feature phones,”
So guys, isn’t it interesting? If reports turn out to be true, it is definitely going to destroy the market of 4G enabled phones. As of now, the cheapest 4G enabled phone costs Rs 3000 and now if Jio introduces it at Rs 1000, it would be superb.
