Joe Root Creates World Record Against India As He Makes Indian Bowlers Look Helpless….

Joe Root added another remarkable achievement to his career after producing yet another unbeaten knock against India in the third ODI at Lord’s on Sunday (July 19).

The England star scored an unbeaten 74 off 48 balls, his third consecutive fifty in the series. With that innings, Joe Root took his tally to 249 runs without being dismissed across the three-match bilateral ODI series, setting a new world record for the most runs by a batter in such a series without losing his wicket.

Joe Root has been a major challenge for India’s bowlers throughout the series. He remained unbeaten on 76 in the first ODI before following it up with an unbeaten 99 in the second match, helping England recover from a difficult situation and secure victory.

In the third ODI, Joe Root walked in after Jacob Bethell’s dismissal with England already well placed at 192/1 in the 31st over. He initially focused on rotating the strike while Ben Duckett continued to dominate the Indian attack.

After Ben Duckett was dismissed for 141, Joe Root increased the scoring rate and completed his half-century in just 40 balls. He played a wide range of attacking shots, including reverse sweeps, pulls and scoops, while taking advantage of team India’s inconsistent bowling.

India’s attack struggled to break partnerships in the middle overs, with Jasprit Bumrah unavailable due to injury and Kuldeep Yadav once again left out of the playing XI because of the team’s combination.

Joe Root finished strongly by scoring 35 runs from his final 15 deliveries. He also shared an unbeaten 63-run partnership with Jos Buttler in just 19 balls as England collected 77 runs in the last five overs to post a commanding total of 387/3 at Lord’s.

India could manage only 360/7 in their 50 overs and lost the match by 27 runs.
