Cracking an IIT entrance exam is not everyone’s cup of team. Students undergo years of intense preparation and training to crack the exam. An IIT entrance exam is believed to be one of the most competitive examinations in the world.

Shivangi, a girl from Deha village, about 60 kms from Kanpur. She used to sell newspapers and magazines with her father. She used to study in a government school. Since she used to help her father in selling newspapers, she didn’t have time to study, but she would study whenever she got free time from her father’s store.

It was her dream to get admission into IIT but due to her financial condition, it was nearly impossible for her to afford the expensive coaching classes and study materials. One day she read about Anand Kumar’s education initiative Super 30. An educational programme started by the Anand under which he takes 30 meritorious students from backward sections of society and trains them to crack IIT. Shivangi was selected for the programme. With the right guidance and her hard work, she cracked IIT and now she is earning for herself and her family.

Shivangi’s father never thought in his wildest dreams that his daughter would do the impossible. He was proud of her daughter.

who is very proud of her student. Here’s the post;

He said that shivangi became a member of their family during her stay. She would take care of his unwell mother and would call her ‘dadi’. The became very emotional, when Shivangi was leaving for IIT Roorkee after her results; they literally felt that they were giving away their daughter to someone else.

Congratulations, Shivangi! We’re so proud of you! You have proved that no dream is too big to achieve!
