Finally, the clash between Raees and Kaabil took place yesterday; the Box office was taken by storm by both the flicks. Multiplexes reported 80 percent occupancy in the mornings; everyone was eager to know which movie will win the race. Well, it is Raees, which has got a higher opening as compared to Kaabil.
Wednesday was a working day but still the figures of Raees were higher than Kaabil. While the Hrithik Roshan starrer had received rave reviews, Raees has managed to sail smoothly owing to SRK’s star power! Let’s have a look at the collections…

Woahh, Raees has enjoyed a superb run on the first day! It minted 20.42 crores on the opening day, which is EXCELLENT. Although the ratings were low as compared to Kaabil, SRK still managed to shine bright. 20 crores on a working day is mind-blowing. With this figure, it has broken the record of FAN, which collected 19.20 crores on the opening day!

Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil has received all the applauds and appreciation for this awesome flick, with a different theme. In spite of positive word of mouth by celebs and industry people, Kaabil collected 50 percent lower collections than Raees. Yes, it minted 10.43 crores on the opening day; makers had high hopes and such figures are a bit disappointing, isn’t it?
