On Sunday morning, the whole nation got the sad news of veteran actress Sridevi’s demise in Dubai.
The actress was in Dubai for attending the marriage ceremony of her nephew Mohit Marwah where she had a cardiac arrest. Sridevi was 54 yrs old and has been survived by husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi.
As per reports, Sridevi was getting ready for a surprise dinner with her husband when she suffered cardiac arrest in the hotel’s bathroom.
The mortal remains of the actress will arrive India today by a private jet owned by Indian businessman Anil Ambani.
Yash Raj Films issued a statement yesterday on behalf of Sridevi’s family. Here’s what the statement read,
“Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief. Late Sridevi Kapoor’s body will arrive in India tomorrow.”
Earlier the body was supposed to be brought yesterday but it will be brought today and the last rites of the actress will be conducted at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai.
