Although the movie has hit the screens, people haven’t stopped protesting. In Lucknow, Karni Sena used Gandhigiri to stop people from watching the film.
The main controversy started because Karni Sena believed that the filmmaker has distorted history of Rajputs and has insulted Rani Padmini.
After venting out anger, Karni Sena has stooped to a new low. Now, they are all set to come up with a film on Bhansali’s mother and have titled it as “Leela ki Leela”.
At a Chittorgarh Press Conference, the district president of Karni Sena Govind Singh Khangarot said that Arvind Vyas will direct the movie and that the process of script writing is still going on.
He said,
“In the next 15 days, a muhurat marking the commencement of the film would be performed. It will be released next year. Bhansali has insulted our mother Padmavati, but we will ensure that he feels proud of the film, we make. As our country gives right to expression to everyone, we will ensure that this right is used to its fullest”
