Kartik Aaryan Reveals People Didn’t Know His Name For Long, “I Was Just Monologue Guy From PKP”

Kartik Aaryan is certainly one of the most sought after actors of Bollywood at the present time after giving a blockbuster “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” and that too in the times when movies of some big actors have fallen flat on the box-office. In a recent interview, Kartik Aaryan opened up on his filmy journey and struggles in Bollywood as well as addressed current ongoing issues in the film industry.

Kartik who debuted with “Pyaar ka Punchnama” in the year 2011 stated that though his journey was difficult and full of ups and downs, he is grateful that he started early at the age of 20 which worked in his favour. He said that for a long time, people didn’t even know his name and only knew him as ‘the monologue guy’ from “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”. He further said that he become a household name only after his movie “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” got released, seven years after his debut in the year 2018.

The monologue of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” is of seven minutes in which Kartik speaks about the problems that men face when they fall in love and have to deal with various issues related to women and relationships. The film was directed by Luv Ranjan and other than Kartik Aaryan, it also starred Divyendu Sharma, Raayo S. Bakhirta, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Raj Sharma in important roles.

When Kartik Aaryan was asked about the ongoing debate of Bollywood movies vs Southern movies and why south language films are faring better on box-office, Kartik says that he feels good movies are working well irrespective of the language. He goes on to say that audiences have also become smarter, so if they are giving their time and money, they want to watch something really good and entertaining. The “Luka Chuppi” actor further says that as they are a part of the Indian film industry, it is their responsibility to serve good content to viewers and there are many examples of good films which have got released this year and have performed well on the box-office.

Kartik Aaryan has some really big projects lined up such as “Satyaprem Ki Katha” with Kiara Advani, “Shehzada” with Kriti Sanon, “Freddy” with Alaya F and recently he has been roped in for the third part of “Aashiqui” as well.
