Hyderabad witnessed a batting masterclass that left fans and bowlers stunned. Abhishek Sharma played one of the most explosive innings of the IPL, smashing an unbeaten 135 to guide Sunrisers Hyderabad to a massive total of 242/2 against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.
This was Abhishek’s second IPL century and it came in style. He dominated the innings from the very beginning, hitting 10 sixes and attacking the bowlers without any pause. His hundred came off just 47 balls, showing both power and confidence at the crease.
It was also a special moment off the field. His father Raj Kumar Sharma was seen watching proudly, while team owner Kavya Maran celebrated with excitement in the stands and it won’t be wrong to say that she celebrated the moment as a kid.

Opening the innings with Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma gave Hyderabad a flying start. The pair added 97 runs for the first wicket, setting a strong base. Travis Head scored 37 but Abhishek remained the main aggressor, reaching his half-century in just 25 balls and keeping the pressure on Delhi’s bowlers.
After Travis Head’s dismissal, the momentum did not slow down. Captain Ishan Kishan joined Abhishek Sharma and played freely, adding a quick 25 runs. Together, they built a 79-run partnership that pushed the total even higher. Abhishek continued his attacking game, finding boundaries all around the ground and showing great control against both pace and spin.
Delhi’s bowlers had a tough outing. Nitish Rana and Lungi Ngidi were hit hard, while even experienced bowlers like Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav couldn’t stop the flow of runs.
In the final overs, Heinrich Klaasen added more damage with an unbeaten 37 off just 13 balls. His quick hitting ensured Hyderabad crossed the 240 mark comfortably.
