India has undoubtedly emerged as a leader in the times of the coronavirus pandemic, as it not only contained the pandemic but has also produced the vaccine for getting rid of it. Though the number of lives lost in India is not less but still the number is pretty less if we consider the fact that we are the second most populated country of the world.
The vaccination has also started in the country and India is also helping the other countries by exporting vaccines to them. PM Modi-led central government has supplied vaccines to the neighboring countries free of cost and has also promised some other countries of the world to provide vaccines to them.
The first batch of vaccines has reached South Africa and a grand welcome was given as the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was also present at the airport when the vaccines arrived. The government of South Africa plans to vaccinate nearly 40 million people by the end of the year and the vaccination campaign will start by inoculating the frontline workers.
