According to SP Salwinder Singh, his information about the terrorists, who attacked Pathankot air force base, has helped the police in reducing the loss of life to a good extent. SP has been transferred till the inquiry in the matter is going on.
In the words of SP, “I informed police as soon as I could. I completed my responsibility. They believed me completely. If I had tried to fight them (the terrorists), they would have killed me.”
On Friday, Salwinder was going to a shrine with his friend Rajesh Verma and cook Madan Gopal, when his car was stopped by terrorists who were dressed as military personnel. Salwinder was in civil dress and he said that he didn’t oppose the terrorists as they were heavily armed and he was without his gun. What’s more, his guard was also not with him.
SP’s vehicle was used by the terrorists for entering Gurdaspur and after that, they attacked the Pathankot air force base in which seven Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives.

The terrorists left them at Gulpur Simbli village after driving for almost 45 minutes but before that, they slit Rajesh’s throat who is being treated in the hospital now.
NIA has filed three cases in this conspiracy and the first one is about SP’s kidnapping. Salwinder also told that they were talking in Hindu and Urdu and it was easy to make that they were Pakistani. He informed his senior officers at 3:30 am and told them about the terrorists in the area as soon as he was freed.
