“Kis Muh Se Indians Ko Bula Rhe Asia Cup Ke Liye?” PCB Trolled After Reports Of Shifting PSL To UAE

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is currently being played in Pakistan but the Pakistan Cricket Board is facing some problems regarding the security arrangements of matches. Till 27^th Feb 2023, all the matches will be held as per the schedule but after that, all the matches which were scheduled to be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi will be shifted to Karachi and the reason behind this decision is the big demand made by the Punjab government.

According to the reports, the Punjab government has demanded a huge amount of Rs. 450 million for making the security arrangements for matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Recently, the PCB officials had a meeting with the delegation of the Punjab government and it seems that the PCB chief Najam Sethi has refused to pay such a huge amount to the Punjab government. The owners of the teams have also refused to pay anything more than Rs. 50 million (which is already paid) to the Punjab government for the purpose of providing meals to the security officials during the matches played in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

However on the other hand, the Sindh government has asked only Rs. 30 million for organizing matches in Karachi.

As revealed by a source, the government delegation was told clearly that PCB won’t be paying such a whopping amount but the delegation was not in the mood to budge from its demand. The PCB chief and officials are of the opinion that if once such demand is accepted, it will set a wrong example for the future as the governments may ask for bigger amount for international matches.

The source further said that such a big amount for security arrangements was not paid by PCB even when PSL was organized in UAE. PCB is of the opinion that PSL is a national brand so the government should come and help in organizing the tournament with open heart. However, the franchisees of PSL have given a suggestion to PCB that the tournament should be shifted to UAE or United States if the Punjab government doesn’t back down from its demand.

As this report got published, online users took to Twitter and started trolling PCB, especially the Indian netizens who slammed PCB for not being able to organize their home tournament PSL in Pakistan and then they are hoping to host India in the Asia Cup.
