In the low-scoring game which was played at Ekana Sports Stadium, Lucknow, things turned ugly after Virat Kohli said something and Naveen-ul-Haq also reacted in an aggressive manner. The former skipper of RCB was not in the mood to back down and he continued saying something to Naveen-ul-Haq despite LSG batter Amit Mishra and online umpires trying to calm him down. Virat’s verbal fury kept on going for a long time, though Naveen-ul-Haq didn’t respond afterwards yet after the match when the players of both the teams were shaking hands, Naveen and Virat again had a chat and the former brushed off the latter’s hand in a rude manner which further deteriorated the situation.

The mentor of LSG, Gautam Gambhir was also not happy with what happened and then he also had a heated argument with Virat Kohli. The LSG skipper KL Rahul, Amit Mishra and RCB skipper Faf du Plessis tried to calm things down and took Kohli and Gambhir to the other sides.

There was a moment when KL Rahul was talking to Virat Kohli and he called Naveen-ul-Haq to resolve the issue but Naveen refused to do so.

As far as the match is concerned, RCB chose to bat after winning the toss. Though RCB got a good and steady start as Virat Kohli (31 runs, 30 balls, 3 fours) and Faf du Plessis (44 runs, 40 balls, 1 four & 1 six) produced a partnership of 62 runs for the first wicket, no other batter was able to play a big innings after that and RCB managed to score 126/9 in their stipulated 20 overs. LSG batters never looked comfortable and the whole team got out at the score of 108 in 19.5 overs.

Both LSG and RCB have won 5 matches out of 9 played by them but the former is at the third position and the latter is at the fifth position in the points table because of the run rate.
