KL Rahul Trolls Himself Over Koffee With Karan Episode As Mayank Agarwal Plays Rapid-Fire With Him

KL Rahul, the Indian cricketer, turned 28 yesterday but instead of partying with his friends and relatives on his birthday, the youngster was spending quarantine time at his home. However, social media networks came to his rescue and he was able to connect with some of his closed ones who wished him on his special day. KL Rahul’s teammate and friend Mayank Agarwal even decided to have some good time with his fellow cricketer by carrying out live Instagram session with him.

The duo had a great chat but when Mayank told Rahul that he would ask some quick questions in the rapid-fire round, KL Rahul gave a cheesy response by saying that rapid-fire always burns him.

Here is what KL Rahul exactly said, “You know rapid-fire always burns me, right? I get burnt in the fire.”

Mayank Agarwal was not able to control his laughter as KL Rahul referred to the controversial episode of the chat show Koffee With Karan after which the latter was suspended from the team. KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya appeared in the talk show which is hosted by Karan Johar but unfortunately in the rapid-fire round of the episode, they made some comments which were disrespectful towards the women community.

The episode got aired in the first week of January 2019 and it created a huge uproar in the country. Both the cricketers were called back from Australia and were suspended for some time despite the fact that the duo offered unconditional apologies.

The good thing was that the matter got solved soon and they were back on the cricket field. Moreover, both the players have admitted that they have learnt a lot from this unfortunate incident and it has made them stronger mentally.

KL Rahul has become an important part of the Indian team in the limited-overs format as he has performed great with not only bat but was quite good as far as keeping the wickets was concerned too. What makes him stand apart from the other cricketers is the fact that he is fine with batting at any position, whether as an opener or a middle-order batsman.

KL Rahul was appointed as the skipper of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) for IPL 2020 but now the league has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus outbreak.
