Whenever we are bored to go out but can’t resist the temptation of yummy food, we do order it at home, isn’t it? Same thing happened with this girl too, but what followed after that is shocking.
Smitha (identity changed), a JP Nagar resident recently filed a complaint with the police on 8th of July against a food delivery boy. Do you want to know what happened?
Well, she ordered McDonald’s food from ‘Foodpanda’, a famous platform for ordering food. The delivery boy came in at around 10pm to deliver her food parcel. Well, what he did was purely shocking! He stared at Smitha, passed dirty comments and then left.
However, this wasn’t the end, the boy started calling her on her mobile and sought sexual flavors. Being pissed off, Smitha just kept disconnecting the phone. Soon, more calls started coming and by the time she reported this to the police, she had already got calls from around 14 numbers, can you believe it?
As per reports ,Smitha reported to the police that the delivery boy sought sex and also asked her charges for the same. Moreover, he even used foul language. Later, the police analyzed all numbers and analyzed a culprit named Shreyas, a youngster, in his 20s. Shreyas confessed that he had harassed the lady.
SD Sharanappa, the Deputy Commissioner of Police stated that “According to Shreyas, there had been a row between the woman and him when he went to deliver he food. He claimed she did not like the delivered item and asked him to take back the parcel. Shreyas told her that was not possible.”
Sharanappa further added that, when Smitha didn’t agree to make the payment, Shreyas left that parcel there and left. Later, Smitha’s mobile number was sent to a WhatsApp group stating she is a call girl.
Now all those people who called Smitha for S3x would be detained. Sharanappa said “A team is working on the case, we have got the details on almost all the callers and we will arrest them shortly,”
Now, police stated that Shreyas wished to teach Smitha a lesson since she refused to take food or make payment. However, Smitha’s phone was switched off and she wasn’t available for comments.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from McDonald’s India stated that;
“We, along with our partners, are investigating the incident involving a complaint regarding threatening and sexual abusive calls to a customer. Though such cases are extremely rare, we take allegations against any of our third-party service providers extremely seriously and, if substantiated, will always take the strongest possible act-ion. We will extend our full support to the customer and will cooperate with the local authorities, in every manner possible.”
